Leadership, Professional & Personal Development - As an executive leader, I know how important it is to show up for your team with the right mindset. Anese does a great job in this book with helping you understand how your positivity (or negativity) can be contagious to others. There are some great lessons learned on how to set your day right and show up with intention. As a leader, I always feel responsible for setting the mindset and energy of my meetings. Anese's IEP Method is a great tool and a reminder that how we show up, whether personally or professionally, is contagious. A must read!
Personal Inspiration - Wow, this one is impactful to say the least. The thing I love the most about Glennon is that she just tells it like it is. She's real, and raw, and so open with her feelings and her experiences. This book makes me feel good because I know that there are people out there that have gone through shit in their lives and have made it through. Not only has Glennon made it through, but she shares her continuous struggle. She lets us know that it's ok to have anxiety over situations. It's how you handle it that matters.
Career - For those that are looking for some career inspiration. Ken does a great job pulling together the strategic steps to guide you to the career that you want to get to. There's a small activity at the end of each chapter to help keep you on track, and it makes sure that you are really invested in the process.
Personal Inspiration - This is the one of the books that changed my life. Really. For anyone who really needs a boost of help to get your spirits up and find more positivity in your life, this is the book for you! To me, self help books are more than that, they are personal inspiration and confirmation that there are many others out there just like us that need a little boost of support every once in a while.
Personal Inspiration - Rachel Hollis does an amazing job motivating you to look at the positive of life and all of life's lessons. This is the other book that changed my life. I seriously can't say enough great things about Rachel and her message. I mean, really, she's about as real as it gets. A true inspiration. All of her books fall into my "good books to read" shelf.
